Our 1st Family Baseball

Last weekend we took the boys to their first baseball game. We met up with the Motiee family, Uncle Kayvon had tickets in a suite. It was so awesome, the boys really enjoyed the entire experience. Jaxon couldn't get enough of the popcorn, Alexander enjoyed his 3rd hotdog ever! It was fun to watch the game, especially with such good friends. Danny Kemp and his fiance Natalie came too.
The highlight of the game is when Alexander was sitting on Natalie's lap. He said to her, "Something is going to happen." "Something bad?" She asked. "No, that man is going to run all the way around." Alexander replied. At that moment, we all looked up to see the batter hit a home run! Wow! We could not believe it. Everyone was asking if they could take him to Vegas. That is our Alexander, he really is special.
The boys also met the Bee. It was the first time they were close to a mascot without screaming or crying. He was a very nice Bee!
The game was a blast, and even though the Bee's lost, we felt like winners. We are blessed with good friends, great family and two of the most amazing little boys ever.

Fun at Grandmas!

Jason and I have date night once a week and the boys stay with my Mom. I know that they love my Mom and they are always very excited to go. The thought is always in the back of my mind, "do they miss us?", "are they having a good time", "are they happy?"
Last weekend when we went to pick the up I peeked in the window, just to see what they were up to. I found all three of them (Alex, Jaxon and my Mom) playing Power Rangers. My Mom, aka. Yellow Ranger had tied bandannas on their heads and backs. They looked awesome! They were all in a huddle chanting, "GOOOOO RANGERS!!"
Alexander aka. Blue Ranger and Jaxon aka. Red Ranger were practicing their Power Ranger moves.
Needless to say, I have nothing to worry about when they stay with their Power Ranger Mema's. I know they are having a great time and fighting evil at the same time!

T-Ball

This past Saturday we took the boys to their first T-Ball practice. It was at the University of Utah field house. They learned how to run the bases, hit the ball off the tee, and field ground balls. Both boys really enjoyed being there.
Alexander did great running the bases, he was the fastest boy there. He enjoyed hitting and throwing but he really loved talking to the girls. He is already becoming quite the ladies man.
Jaxon loved hitting the ball and wearing the helmet. (He really loves anything that is similar to a costume.) After a few good hits right handed, Jason had Jaxon hit left handed and he knocked it out of the field (ok. so he hit it a good 10 yards) He is just like his Dad, throws right and hits left.
I enjoyed watching the fathers help coach their 2 and 3 year olds. Most of them really believe that if their sons can hit the ball off the tee perfectly it is off to the world series.
I am not like those fathers at all, just because I am teaching my boys to write their names on baseballs, the balls will be worth millions when they are playing in the world series!

Parenting

I was just browsing the internet and came across a blog of a friend we met in our birthing class.  It is hard to believe it has been two years.  The time goes by so fast.  

I was reading his blog about his darling 2 year old daughter.  She is just learning to talk, and they as parents are trying to understand her every word and sound.  His final sentence was my favorite and for me sums up parenting as a whole.   "Of course, in her world, it's just us who are finally getting a clue."

It is their world and I am so happy to be a part of it.  Thanks for the quote Paul!

This is my friend Lester Smith, yes she does look a bit like Lesley but she is much more observant.  You can tell by her big eyes.  

Little Friends

We had game night with some of our friends.  They brought their children and our boys had a blast.  Alexander's girlfriend was here along with her brother Jacob.  Jaxon's buddy Stockton was also here, he is still a bit too small to really get down and play.  

We all had a really fun time.  The best was watching Jason and Ian try to play Taboo.  They are so bad it is hysterical.  Both of them talk a mile a minute, but when it comes to playing Taboo they are speechless.  Friends, Family and Fun!  

Fun with Face Paint

Our wonderful Nana sent the boys a face painting kit.  We all like having our faces painted, Jaxon however is a bit obsessed.  Each morning the first thing out of his mouth is, "Me, paint, face, mask!"  

He goes everywhere with his face painted.   A Red superhero mask is the favorite right now.  Everywhere we go people say to Jaxon, "Oh, my what is all over your face?"  He puts up his fists, flexes his muscles and gives his best superhero grunt.  Then there is me, the protective mom, I always reply as if that is the dumbest question we have ever herd, "He is a Superhero."  Jaxon then looks at the person as proud as can be.  I love my Superheros!
